Arthur Burton Calkins | While one might readily think of Fatima and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the idea of associating Fatima with the Hearts of Jesus and Mary might seem much more forced – but, in fact, that is not so. From its very beginnings the phenomenon of Fatima bears the imprint of the two Hearts. From a strictly theological perspective this must necessarily be true because one can only understand the theology and the cultus of the Heart of Mary with reference to the Heart of Jesus – and this is consistently verified in all that is associated with Fatima.

| | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Truly, You Carry Me, Your Jesus, with You" by "Anne," a Lay Apostle | The following presents the messages from Jesus to Anne regarding his own Eucharistic presence (Volume II: Conversations with the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus). The messages are both sublime and powerful, and we share them with you. Anne, a visionary from Ireland, has received permission from her local ordinary, Bishop Leo O’Reilly, for the distribution of messages which she receives from Jesus, God the Father, Our Blessed Mother, the angels and saints (see article, "Discernment of Lay Apostolate of Jesus Christ the Returning King," Marian Private Revelation section). – Ed.
September 4, 2003 Jesus My children, I would like you to become dependable friends to Me. I want to rely on you. You are wondering what that means so I will tell you. It is true, I am walking with you. I am sharing your life and worries. Your business is My business and I help you with everything. No detail is too small for you to share with Me and seek assistance. You find Me there, always. You know I never leave you. You are only being wise to have this confidence in Me, My child, because it is a confidence that rests on the rock of truth. I am that rock and I am that truth. In the same way, with every allowance made for both your frail humanity and your earthly duties, I want you to walk with Me. I would like to know that you will come to Me every day in prayer. We begin a journey together and then you disappear from Me. I remain with you, of course. I am your God and will not leave you. But We must finish the work We begin. Do not be haphazard about your time with Me. You are busy and I understand because it is often I who have given you your duties. But if you do not have time to pray to Me, there is something amiss in your life and I want it sorted out immediately. I need you. You are My friend and I need My friends to be faithful right now. So do not come and go anymore. Please. Stay united to Me so that We can work together on the tasks left undone by others. My child, you must understand that when you come to Me in prayer, if only for a moment, I am consoled. My heart is comforted, which allows Me to give you untold graces, of course, but also, your prayer allows Me to soften My justice toward others who never seek Me. When you meet Me face to face, you will see clearly every happiness you have caused Me. I need you and so appreciate any fidelity offered to Me. If only for the sake of repayment you should come to Me often, as I reward each prayer, each glance, each petition even, beyond anything you might imagine. Please do not worry if you do not feel like you think you should feel. My child, how does a saint feel when that saint is laboring on earth? Very often, My saintly souls feel tired. They feel tired because they are laboring. But they also feel determined and these saintly souls come back to Me in prayer, even though they do not feel holy every moment. Do not let your feelings dictate your prayer time. Imagine a marriage where the two people only served each other in times of romantic love. I need not tell you that the marriage would be doomed. It is the very same with your relationship to Me. Serve Me always, regardless of how you feel. Do you imagine, My child, that you will come to Me in prayer and I will turn away? Will I say, "Go away, you do not feel holy enough to talk to Me"? Does a husband say, "Go away, my wife, you do not feel enough love for me"? How ridiculous. It is particularly in those times when you do not feel holy that I must listen to you and soothe and love you. We are to be close friends, which means We will be friends in times of spiritual joy. But, as close friends, Our friendship will become even more precious, more valuable, and more indispensable during times when you feel a spiritual dryness. Be at peace. I seek to explain everything to you now, leaving no questions and no hurtful marks on your heart. | http://www.motherofallpeoples.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=1269
| | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- “This Picture Will Precede… a New Dogma” by The Lady of All Nations | During her April 15, 1951, apparition, Our Lady of All Nations shares her pangs at the foot of the Cross with visionary Ida Peerdeman. She said that just as it was the wish of the Father to send the Son into the world, now it is the wish of the Father and the Son to send the Lady of All Nations into the world. She urged the visionary to see to the rapid spreading of the prayer given in Amsterdam and the spreading of the image of Our Lady of All Nations, which she says will precede the proclamation of the dogma. – Asst. Ed.
April 15, 1951 I see that great bright light again. Very slowly the Lady comes forth from that light, and then she is standing before me clearly. The Lady is not yet saying anything, but looking at me with a smile. This lasts for a while, and then she begins to speak. The Lady says, "Child, look carefully once more." The Lady now points at the sash wrapped around her waist; I have to look at it carefully. The Lady says, "You have described everything correctly. You are on the right path. But look carefully at this cloth once more." Now I see the Lady remove the cloth from her waist. It is a very long cloth, and she lets me see how she wraps it around herself. With her left hand she holds one end, and with her right hand she wraps that cloth twice around her waist until reaching the left side again. Then with her left hand she tucks in the end, such that a little part is left hanging down." Listen carefully to what this means," the Lady says. "This is as the loincloth of the Son. For I stand as the Lady before the Cross of the Son." | http://www.motherofallpeoples.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=1270
| | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Spiritual Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary by Msgr. Charles M. Mangan | The following article is from a chapter in the recently published Marian anthology, Mariology: A Guide for Priests, Deacons, Seminarians, and Consecrated Persons, Seat of Wisdom Books, A Division of Queenship, 2008. Fifteen international Mariology experts contributed to the text. The book features a foreword by Archbishop Raymond L. Burke and has 17 chapters divided into four parts: 1. Mary in Scripture and the Early Church; 2. Marian Dogma; 3. Marian Doctrine; and 4. Marian Liturgy and Devotion. – Asst. Ed.
When pondering the Church’s teaching about the Blessed Virgin Mary, one may be immediately inclined to think about her Divine Maternity, Perpetual Virginity, Immaculate Conception, and Assumption—and rightly so, given that these truths have been defined as dogmas of the Catholic faith. (1) Yet, there are other Church teachings concerning Our Lady that are also important because they, too, glorify God and assist in the salvation of souls. One such doctrine is the spiritual maternity (or spiritual motherhood) of Mary. (2) The purpose of this article is to present this doctrine, which "is one of the most certain and most universally accepted doctrines of Mariology." | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Encountering Our Mother at Guadalupe by James Harold | Being a cradle Catholic, I do not remember a time in which I did not believe in Christ and in the teachings of the Catholic Church. Despite a brief stretch of disobedience—manifested by wantonly skipping a Sunday Mass or two—as a teenager in the late 1960s, I never seriously doubted the tenets of the Church, even then. Included in these tenets of course were the teachings on Mary as the Blessed Virgin and the Mother of God, which I had no difficulty accepting because they were all of a piece to the historical appearance of the God-man on earth. To accept the reality of Christmas is to accept Mary. God becoming Man was so incredible that the idea of a virgin giving birth seems insignificant by comparison. What are the laws of biology compared to the power of God? Furthermore, the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception seemed perfectly appropriate to the concrete historical event of God becoming man, as the holiness of God is incompatible with the effects of original sin in our unredeemed bodily nature. It made perfect sense to honor the Son by honoring His mother. It seems strange indeed to ignore the Mother of God while honoring her Son.

| | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Interior Practices of True Devotion to Mary by St. Louis Marie de Montfort | Besides the external practices of the devotion which we have been describing so far, and which we must not omit through negligence or contempt, so far as the state and condition of each one will allow him to observe them, there are some very sanctifying interior practices for those whom the Holy Spirit calls to high perfection.
These may be expressed in four words: to do all our actions by Mary, with Mary, in Mary, and for Mary; so that we may do them all the more perfectly by Jesus, with Jesus, in Jesus and for Jesus. | http://www.motherofallpeoples.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=1273
| | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Queen of Peace by Pope Paul VI | The month of May is almost here, a month which the piety of the faithful has long dedicated to Mary, the Mother of God. Our heart rejoices at the thought of the moving tribute of faith and love which will soon be paid to the Queen of Heaven in every corner of the earth. For this is the month during which Christians, in their churches and their homes, offer the Virgin Mother more fervent and loving acts of homage and veneration; and it is the month in which a greater abundance of God's merciful gifts comes down to us from our Mother's throne.
