Mother of All Peoples by Mark Miravalle

What do the dogmas that God has revealed about the Blessed Virgin Mary have to do with me personally? How do these revealed truths about the Mother of Jesus affect my own spiritual life? How can it be said that the Mother of Jesus is the mother of every person on earth?

Heaven Speaks to Soldiers by "Anne," a Lay Apostle

"Anne" has received permission from her local ordinary, Bishop Leo O'Reilly, Bishop of Kilmore, Ireland, for the spreading of her messages, and has also submitted all her writings to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (see article, "Discernment of Lay Apostolate of Jesus Christ the Returning King," Marian Private Revelation section). – Asst. Jesus

I direct these words today to soldiers, in every army, in every difficulty. Dear soldiers, I am with you. You find yourself in the most dreadful circumstances and often you fear for your soul. I am with you. I have the greatest graces available to you so that you can walk through your days with Me, Jesus. I see each decision you make and I understand that you are working under obedience to your superior. I am familiar with obedience. As you recall, it led Me to the cross. Sometimes on earth, My children find themselves faced with situations that I never intended for a soul. All heavenly grace is with you, I assure you. This is what I am asking of you. Offer each day to Me. Pray for everyone you encounter in your day. Offer Me short prayers such as an act of sorrow if you are engaged in a battle where others are facing their deaths. Ask Me for forgiveness for every soul whose life is in danger. Ask Me to convert the hearts of those who are cold and those who are in a state of grave sin. Do you see that if you help Me with this, I can come into even the most horrid man-created situations with My healing grace?

Dear soldier, if you are coming to Me, you have nothing to fear. Do not be afraid of death. If you are one of My friends, one of My apostles, and you must know that I consider you this way, you should have great joy and peace, despite your surroundings. I have the most abundant graces available for soldiers everywhere. Many of these graces have been obtained by your family members, who pray constantly for your safety. There are more angels and saints on a battlefield than you can imagine. Now be at peace and never think that I have left you because you are compelled to participate in a war.

On Fast and Abstinence by Pope Paul VI

"Be converted and believe in the Gospel" (1)

It seems to us that we must repeat these words of the Lord today at a moment when—with the closing of the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council—the Church continues along its path with more vigorous steps. Among the grave and urgent problems which in fact summon our pastoral concern, it seems to us that not the least is to remind our sons—and all religious men of our times—of the significance and importance of the divine precept of penitence. We are prompted to this by the fuller and more profound vision of the Church and its relationship with the world given us recently by the supreme ecumenical assembly.

The Call to Reflect on Eternal Life by Sister Lucia of Fatima

We all have a desire to preserve our temporal life, which passes with the days, the years, work, joys, sorrows and suffering. But how little we concern ourselves with eternal life! And yet, this is the only life that is truly decisive and that lasts for ever.

Orthodox Patriarch on Maternal Mediation by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I

During the Lenten season of 1998, Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew I promulgated the following profound letter on the nature of the Mother of God and her role in maternal mediation. Clearly, the Catholic and Orthodox union of mind and heart on Our Lady's universal mediation constitutes the quintessential means for ultimate Catholic-Orthodox unity. – Ed.

Beloved brethren in Christ and beloved children,

The Grace of our all-good God once again deemed us worthy to stand at the beginning of Great Lent.  Again we hear the holy and solemn hymns of the Triodion: "Open the doors of repentance to me O Life-Giver…" and "Direct me on the highway of salvation O Theotokos…."

Repentance and salvation is the purpose of our lives.  However, who will help us achieve that?

In our battle of repentance, the Saints of the Church will be our helpers, who completed their battle victoriously with the Grace of God.  First among them the Most-Holy Theotokos and by grace the Mother of us all.

"That Is Why I Have Sent Her" by The Lady of All Nations

During an August 15, 1975, Eucharistic Experience (ecclesiastical approval, May 31, 2002, see "Church Approves Apparitions of the Lady of All Nations" article), Ida Peerdeman has a vision of the present state of the world, seen as a vast arid desert. Our Lord then shows her how Our Lady can turn this desert into a beautiful heavenly garden: "that is why I have sent Her, 'the Lady of All Nations,' your Mother." – Asst. Ed.

At the Creed during Holy Mass, "the Light" came over the altar and the priests. It spread slowly over all those who were attending.

On receiving "Our Lord" I saw a heavenly vision and heard "the Voice" say:

"Come, follow Me. Understand and listen attentively."

The Mystical Rose by Ven. John Henry Cardinal Newman

How did Mary become the Rosa Mystica, the choice, delicate, perfect flower of God's spiritual creation? It was by being born, nurtured, and sheltered in the mystical garden or Paradise of God. Scripture makes use of the figure of a garden when it would speak of heaven and its blessed inhabitants. A garden is a spot of ground set apart for trees and plants, all good, all various, for things that are sweet to the taste, or fragrant in scent, or beautiful to look upon, or useful for nourishment. Accordingly in its spiritual sense it means the home of blessed spirits and holy souls dwelling there together, souls with both the flowers and the fruits upon them, which by the careful husbandry of God they have come to bear, flowers and fruits of grace, flowers more beautiful and more fragrant than those of any garden, fruits more delicious and exquisite than can be matured by earthly husbandman.
