If only the Mother were crowned. If only the Mother were crowned, she would intercede more powerfully to mitigate the horrendous genocide which continues daily in Darfur - men and children slaughtered with machetes, women gang raped, all for being black Africans in an Arab-led Sudanese country and government. If only the Mother were crowned, she would intercede more powerfully for the peoples of China - still oppressed by an atheistic Communist regime that forcibly aborts, sterilizes their women, and imprisons their own people who seek religious liberty and personal dignity. If only the Mother were crowned, she would intercede more powerfully for the hundreds of peoples of Mexico City who are dying from the swine flu, as well as the peoples presently affected on every continent. She came to Mexico City to stop human sacrifice over four centuries ago, but now it has returned in the form of abortion, with children being sacrificed to new gods of materialism, secularism, hedonism, and convenience. If only the Mother were crowned, she would intercede more powerfully for the global economic crisis, in ways that would bring true remedies to the metaphysical origins of the problem: greed, hoarding, and selfishness, both personal and national. If only the Mother were crowned, she would intercede more powerfully to prevent Western governments from their culture of death platforms of abortion, contraception, euthanasia, and cloning, thinking that God is no longer necessary for the end of human life or its beginning. If only the Mother were crowned, she would intercede more powerfully for the ubiquitous family breakdowns sweeping across the West, with marriages dividing and the youth being lost to multiform moral degeneration and loss of faith. As you well know, the contemporary list of global woes goes on and on. The Mother of Jesus is already crowned in heaven as Queen. But she also needs to be crowned here on earth, and by us.
The solemn definition by the Pope of the Mother of Jesus as the Spiritual Mother of all humanity in her three motherly roles as Co-redemptrix, Mediatrix of all graces, and Advocate would constitute the highest possible manifestation that humanity, represented authoritatively by the Vicar of Christ and bearer of the Keys of Peter, does freely acknowledge and accept the Immaculate Virgin as our Spiritual Mother. This official dogmatic proclamation by the Roman pontiff then allows the Mother of Jesus to intercede in full capacity with her greatest possible motherly intercession for the needs of her earthly children today. For God, in his great respect for human freedom, will not allow grace to be "forced" upon humanity. Rather, we must freely acknowledge and accept events of grace leading to our own salvation. This includes the full-blown intercession of Mary, the Mediatrix of all graces. Her titles are her functions, and only with humanity's fiat to her salvific intercessory roles can she fully exercise them amidst the myriad present global crises and needs, which have seemingly never been greater since she and her Son walked the face of this earth. This does not infer that once Mary is solemnly crowned with the dogmatic proclamation of her spiritual motherhood by the Holy Father all suffering and strife will instantaneously end and the world will immediately become a place of peace. But it is her promise as revealed in the Church-approved Marian message to the modern world that "when the dogma, the last Marian dogma in history has been proclaimed, the Lady of All Nations will bring peace, true peace to the world",1 in fulfillment of her previous Fatima promise, "In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph ... and a period of peace will be granted to the world."2 The fifth Marian dogma is the key to the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart will alone bring true peace to our troubled world. This includes both the graces to endure any form of potential passion and death that the Church and world must still endure, leading to its ultimate resurrection or "New Springtime," as well as the actual graces that will establish and sustain a worldwide era of peace. In light of the importance of this fifth Marian dogma for world peace, would you consider helping in a small but important way? Would you consider praying just one decade of the Rosary a day during the month of May for the papal proclamation of the fifth Marian dogma? This would constitute a five-minute daily investment during Our Lady's special month, with the intention that she would be dogmatically crowned as soon as possible by our Holy Father, and thus to release historic graces upon the Church and world in pursuit of the ultimate victory of the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart and world peace. Offering just five minutes a day for a return of world peace - that's not a bad investment. A decade a day for the month of May for the intention of the fifth Marian Dogma: that is our humble request. Please be generous for Our Lady. For priests, religious, and devoted laity who could offer a daily Rosary for the fifth Marian dogma during this great Marian month, please do so with our special thanks. Together, let us offer our universal Mother a superabundant bouquet of spiritual roses during her month of May, a May crowning that will lead to a much more permanent, imperishable crown: the solemnly defined truth that she is the spiritual mother of each and every member of the human family. She will then be freed by our "yes" to help us with the full power of her roles as Co-redemptrix, Mediatrix of all graces, and Advocate - a historic manifestation of supernatural power, grace, redemption and peace that will lead all the world to marvel. Consecrate Yourself to Mary
Using the Consecration Prayer
of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort
I, (Name), a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in your hands the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.
In the presence of all the heavenly court I choose you this day for my Mother and Queen. I deliver and consecrate to you, as your slave, my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions, past, present and future; leaving to you the entire and full right of disposing of me, and all that belongs to me, without exception, according to your good pleasure, for the greater glory of God, in time and in eternity.
