Today the Lord asked me to go with Him to see a soul in purgatory. We crossed the Holy City and stopped for a time so that Our Lord could instruct me on some details of the mission. We then crossed the deep night sky, over the busy new day land, and then out into another night sky, not as deep as the first. We ended up in the park area, where I rested in the beauty. Jesus drew me into the mist, stopping at a woman. She prayed with great fervor and passion, asking God to prevent other souls from making a mistake that she had made when she was young. I understood the mistake to be an abortion. As we stood nearby, listening to her beautiful prayers, the mist around her began to lighten. Mist blew past her in patches that became lighter and lighter. Eventually, after a short time, she found herself kneeling in the sunshine of the park perimeter. Jesus said, "Rise."

She had the most dignified look of calm peace on her face as she rose and walked into the new area. She looked around as though she had always known that this was her destination, and then walked off to join a group of people standing near a stream and bridge. As she approached the group, a man stood back and extended his hand to her. His smile was filled with happiness and welcome. This woman joined them effortlessly as though they were from the closest, most loving family on earth. She was on her way into the last process.

Jesus told me many things. The previous day had been extremely difficult. My trust is down to nearly zero and I can’t seem to reclaim it. Anyway, I spent the day making acts of love and obedience to Jesus.

He said, "What you saw was the direct result of one of your simple acts of obedience during your difficult day. Anne, did you see the difference? This treasured soul moved with the greatest speed through her purification. She was cleansed and healed and edified. You, Anne, will be credited for the merciful speed with which she progressed. Do you see My generosity? Proclaim that generosity so that souls will live their lives in union with Me. I will reward every soul so bountifully for their allegiance, Anne. I will reward their loved ones. The fruits of their commitment to the cause of the Savior will astound them. Anne, these times are dark for humanity. This woman would never have chosen to reject her child in another time. You saw her goodness. You saw her love for Me. She, like many others, suffered from the grave deception of the enemy. I protected her in the end, of course, and she will give glory and joy to others for all eternity. There will be a joyous reunion for her and her child. But such pain she experienced!"

Jesus pauses at this and I feel that His pain is from her grief and the grief of every woman like her who suffers anguish resulting from an abortion. Jesus is hurting because they are hurting, just as we apostles often hurt because He is hurting. Poor, poor Jesus. How much He loves us.

"Anne, be at peace in My plan. It is My plan after all. I will send you the trust you require and with it you must communicate trust to others. Move slowly, remaining in the present, content to represent Me when you are asked to do so. It is all My work. It is all My effort that is required. Peace and calm are the right of each apostle."

Today the Lord drew me into His heart and brought me back to the park area in purgatory. I rested there and He began to speak. He explained the following.

When we celebrate a funeral on earth, they also celebrate it in heaven. Many of the soul’s relations will attend, going back many generations. There will be many angels there, who had anything at all to do with that soul’s life. Additionally, souls in purgatory who knew the soul will be aware of that soul’s death and pray. Great graces are made available for that soul’s initial progress in the process of purgation. I asked Our Lord if the soul himself is present. Jesus said the soul has already placed himself in the exactly appropriate location in the process so the soul in purgatory is aware of the great graces and prayers and sacrifices because that soul is feeling the benefit of them.

The answer is "yes" in that there are no separations in the heavenly Kingdom but the soul is not present in the way a soul in heaven could be present. The soul in purgatory does not have the same awareness that the soul in heaven enjoys. I thought of all of the Masses said for some souls and Jesus said that these all help a soul and if the soul has no need of them, they are passed to another so nothing is wasted. Jesus also said that if a soul lived a life aimed at Christ, that soul can complete the purgative process by the end of the funeral. It is really important that when we go to a funeral, we actually pray for the deceased. If we find ourselves deep in thought over the fact that our shoes do not match our purses, we will know we are doing it wrong.

My understanding, based on today’s conversation, is this. A person dies. That soul sees the Truth in God’s presence. God’s light is so revealing, so complete and perfect, that there is no question of if or maybe. It is and that’s it. In other words, there won’t be a lot of dialogue about why a soul did this or that. It will be there in front of the soul with all mitigation and aggravation factored in for him.

Let’s examine a sin according to a criminal code. You might commit a Class 2 felony, severe enough, but when you meet Christ it might become a Class 4 felony, less severe, given the circumstances under which you made the decision.

In the same way, a sin that may be considered mild may elevate to a more severe level given the aggravating circumstances that surround it, as in level of malice and intent to cause harm.

Sins confessed and answered for will not be held against a soul but the soul will have to come to terms with those experiences in order to be at peace. Christ will forgive but the soul may have a little acceptance work to do.

One thing is for certain. This is the Land of Perfect Truth and any nonsense will dissipate immediately upon entry. Falseness is not even an option or a possibility here. It cannot be. All is Truth.

We are discussing this as in the context of an awareness of sin. This is fine because it is accurate, but what is more important is the joy that surrounds a soul who dies and enters into the Truth of eternity. Who can describe the happiness a soul experiences who finds that God and heaven are far beyond their expectations or any hope they harbored? In addition, there is the fact that when a soul dies they enter into God’s love with perfect awareness. These souls in purgatory are not distressed. They are prayerful and humble, childlike in their knowledge that they are loved and cherished and important to God. These souls understand that the work they are doing in purgatory, they are doing with God for the peace and benefit of their souls. It is all so good and perfect that words fail me and I wonder at God entrusting this heavenly Kingdom to the words that come from me.

I think a good thing for me to say here is that it is an impossible thing for a soul to be disappointed in God’s mercy, in God’s love, or in God’s commitment to total healing for every soul. Our reward for even the smallest act of kindness or allegiance will be magnificent. Our joy in the fellowship and love of our brothers and sisters will be immeasurable. These are wonderful people there. And they love us. Every soul can be assured that he or she will be welcomed and loved.

Today Our Lord brought me back to purgatory. I rested there and He began to show me what occurred on Christmas Day. I felt great joy and happiness and began to see souls around in the park. As I watched the perimeter, where the mists begin, I could see the mist moving back, lightening, and the boundary of fog actually dissipating. Souls began to walk from the mist. I saw two people join hands happily and walk into the park area laughing and smiling. Everyone seemed expectant. It was a beautiful time there.

I sensed Our Lady’s presence and it made my heart ache with loneliness for her. She was definitely a big part of the joy. Jesus said that souls in heaven participate in Christmas with great giving. Graces and joys are exchanged and granted and many souls are shown special mercy and brought to heaven from purgatory. Jesus said that on Christmas Day, all souls advance in purgatory, regardless of their location or level. Jesus said that all souls on earth are granted graces on Christmas and that all souls in heaven experience graces on Christmas. He said it is an important day because it celebrates God’s great love for humanity by His willingness to become one of us by being born into the world through Mary. This makes all of these souls happy.

I can’t describe it completely but it has something to do with each soul experiencing personally the profound and unique love that God has for that soul. It’s almost as though Christ were born specifically and totally for every one of us and on Christmas Day each soul gets an enhanced awareness of the gift that His humanity was and is for us individually. This was a joyous day and it made me aware again that the heavenly Kingdom is vibrant with activity and action.
